Chrisley Knows Best star Lindsie Chrisley has not yet visited her stepmom Julie in prison, despite already visiting her father Todd in prison.
Lindsie Chrisley has not visited her stepmom, and star of Chrisley Knows Best, in prison yet. Lindsie was a part of the family show for the first few seasons but after a falling out with her father she began to appear on the show a lot less. However, in recent years the pair has rekindled their relationship and gotten closer. Sadly this came very soon before his arrest and trial, so their relationship has had to endure this event as well.
In a recent episode of Lindsie’s Southern Tea podcast, Lindsie revealed that she had not been to see Julie in prison yet, despite seeing her father. Lindsie explained that the process to visit her step-mother Julie in prison in Kentucky was much lengthier than the one to visit her father Todd in Florida. Apparently the prison where Julie is housed requires more paperwork to be able to visit an inmate. “I sent in all of my paperwork and have yet to hear back regarding the visiting,” Lindsie said. However, she has gotten updates on her step-mother from her other siblings who have been able to visit.
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s Prison Sentences Explained
Todd and Julie Chrisley were tried and convicted of both tax fraud and tax evasion. The couple was tried and given their own prison sentences in Florida and Kentucky, respectively. Todd and Julie reported to their respective prisons on January 17th of this year. They are sentenced to a combined 19 years in jail for fraud and tax evasion. Todd is serving 12 years in his Florida prison plus another 16 months probation, while Julie is sentenced to seven years in her Kentucky prison along with another 16 months probation as well.
While Lindsie is not Julie’s daughter by blood, Julie has been married to Todd and a part of Lindsie’s life for many years. Lindsie does have a good relationship with Julie, and despite the hardships of the paperwork, does wish to visit her step-mother in prison. All the Chrisley children have been very vocal about how this new chapter has influenced their lives. The couple’s daughter Savannah Chrisley is looking after her younger siblings, but it seems like the entire family has banded together during this time to help.
The Chrisley family has faced many hardships during this time, including the fact that their show, Chrisley Knows Best, has been canceled, which was a large source of income for the family. It is unknown exactly what is next for the family, but Lindsie and Savannah have their own respective podcasts in which they are able to keep fans updated in this time. Whether a new show is possible for the family or not, it is nice to see that they are staying close and supporting each other despite everything.
