General Hospital spoilers indicate Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is fighting for his life at GH right now, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is going to be in for a fight right alongside him. Moments before Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) got the news that she relayed to Carly, they were discussing the implications of turning Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in to the feds to get Drew out of prison. While that seemed like a poor offer on the table at the time, Carly is going to wrestle with great guilt regarding her decision to . She’s tired of her lifestyle — and that which bleeds over from Sonny — disrupting Drew’s life.

When it looks like it could actually cost him just that, she may decide to sing another tune. When she happens upon dirt on Ava Jerome (Maura West) soon, it’s going to seem like her ticket to getting Drew out of prison — until Ava negotiates her way to safety while throwing NIna Reeves (Cynthia Watros) under the bus.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Was Supposed To Protect Drew

Sonny promised he would protect Drew from harm while he was in prison. It was the only thing giving Carly any comfort that he was going to be okay over the next three years.

Now, she knows she can’t rely on that kind of promise again. Sonny didn’t slip up. Perhaps his reach isn’t good enough anymore.

He can’t even figure out who his enemies are, so how can he keep them out of Drew’s orbit? Still, Carly could never forsake the father of her children or put her entire family at risk by throwing Sonny in jail to save Drew.

Could Carly actually talk herself into negotiating with the authorities to take Ava instead of Drew?

Maybe, but Ava will be quick to put a stop to that when she offers Carly something more enticing — the truth about who turned her and Drew in to the SEC for insider trading.
