Adam Huss Shares a Special Message With GH Fans

Even the fans who knew that Nikolas would be back eventually were startled when he showed up as the cliffhanger twist at the end of the Aug. 31 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL. And the actor who reprised the role, Adam Huss, reached out on social media to thank the fans for welcoming him back to the soap.

“Wanted to send some love and massive gratitude for all the beautiful support and comments from you wonderful GH fans,” he shared. “I can’t always answer all of the messages or comments, but every kind one means the world to me.

“I am very passionate about the role of Nikolas Cassadine,” Huss added, “and will continue to honor the past for however long I get the opportunity to step into his shoes.”

The role of Nikolas was originated by Tyler Christopher back in 1996 and other actors like Coltin Scott, Chris Beetem, and Nick Stabile have also played the Cassadine prince over the years. Huss debuted on GH when he filled in for Marcus Coloma for an episode in September 2021, then stepped in again in November 2022 when Coloma was out with COVID.

Then, when Coloma was let go from the soap, Huss took over again in January 2023 to wrap up Nikolas’ storyline, last airing in March when Ava hit him over the head with a vase and thinking she’d killed him, tried to hide his body with Austin’s help. Naturally, it was soon revealed that Nikolas was recovering in a secret location, and fans immediately began counting the days until his return.

While Huss naturally kept mum about how long he would be playing Nikolas this time around, many viewers are hoping for a nice, long run. After all, he’s got to get revenge on Ava, meet his son, Ace, and once again try to mend fences with Spencer. And that’s just for starters! Stay tuned to see what happens next!
