The portrayer, Lamon Archey, gave a quick update about how he feels about returning to the soap after a long time. Days Of Our Lives: Insights On Eli’s Return To Salem
Did you miss Eli Grant? The makers must have caught your pulse! Yup, Lamon Archey sat with Soap Opera Digest, and opened up about his return to DOOL. He mentioned about receiving a call from Days Of Our Lives casting director Marnie Saitta. She asked Archer’s manager for Lamon’s dates so he can join DOOL’s sets to be a part of the storyline that is running currently. Archey mentioned that it was a BIG YES from his side as he had nothing going on then. After returning to the sets, Archey said he enjoyed those few weeks in Salem. He got back with his co-actors and friends, such as Jackie (Harry, Paulina), Galen (Rafe), and many others.
As per the storyline, Eli Grant will be doing some police work as part of searching for missing Abe Carver. He was brought back on Days Of Our Lives to take part in Paulina’s Juneteenth Anniversary celebration. Then Eli discovers that Abe is missing and hence starts to hunt for him. Furthermore, he left his twins with his mother in Washington, D.C. As Eli’s wife is currently in prison, Archey guesses that Eli might soon give updates about his wife Lani’s parole as well. However, the actor is unsure when those episodes will air on TV.
What Is Lamon Archey Currently Doing?
While Lamon Archey is souring high on the professional side, his personal life is no less. He married a fitness trainer, Kristen Terry, whom he met while recovering from tearing his rotator cuff. He also mentioned that his kids are doing wonderful. If we look into his work update, Archey recently shot a web series pilot – THERAPY SESS, in Florida. He revealed his character name, Grady, and said the series is currently on hold with the writer’s strike.
Apart from working on Days of Our Lives, Lamon Archey joined the cast of the ALL AMERICAN show in 2020. He told Soap Opera Digest that shooting for the new season has been paused due to the strike. Archey also admitted that he is unsure of returning to the sixth season same as he wasn’t about doing the previous seasons. Archey clarified that his goal is to make a mark in prime-time and film and is currently working on it. He said he’d be available for Days of Our Lives if the storyline interests him.
