“I’m In A Mood”: Savannah Chrisley Apologizes For Southwest Flight Controversy

After a very public breakdown on a flight, Chrisley Knows Best’s Savannah Chrisley is now apologizing for how she acted and explains her behavior.

After being kicked off of a Southwest flight last month, Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley apologized for her behavior on the flight. Savannah has been going through a bit of a rough patch since her parents both began their prison sentences, and she gained custody of her younger siblings. While none of that is any kind of excuse for Savannah’s behavior, being under that kind of stress and scrutiny must be challenging on her mental well-being.

During a recent episode of her Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast, Savannah apologized for the Southwest incident and gave some more insight into what happened on the flight. She explained that she had gotten into a verbal altercation with an employee over overhead space on the plane, admitting, “I’m in a mood.” Savannah then insulted the worker and was subsequently kicked off the plane, she then tried to apologize, but it was too late. Savannah then said that she was not her “most patient self” as she wanted to get home to her niece Chloe Chrisley, whom she now has custody of.

Savannah Chrisley’s Recent Family Drama Explained

As previously mentioned, Savannah’s parents Todd and Julie Chrisley are serving prison sentences for tax fraud and evasion. The two are serving a combined 19 years in prison, causing Savannah to be the breadwinner for the younger siblings she now has sole custody of. She has been vocal on her podcast about the strife of this experience on both her podcast as well as others that she has been a guest on. She has been very honest about the experience and what it has been like for the family to lose Chrisley Knows Best.

Savannah’s experience has been one that is very challenging for her mind and spirit. It is hard to imagine being in Savannah’s shoes, especially at this particular moment in her life. Thus, it is not easy to understand her mindset in the moments that caused this altercation. At the end of the day, her reasoning for what occurred is just that–an explanation–but it is not an excuse for her actions, which she understands and is why she apologized for her actions in the moment, and afterwards as well.

It is hard to feel empathy for Savannah, considering most people don’t know what it’s like growing up on a show like Chrisley Knows Best. While many don’t understand that kind of upbringing and constant scrutiny, it can be easier to empathize with parts of Savannah’s life. Extreme lengths clearly had to be taken for someone to be so rude they are kicked off of a flight, but it is easy to understand someone who is so exhausted that they just want to be home with their family. When looking at Savannah’s life at the most basic level, it is just like everyone else’s–to an extent.
