Who killed Johnny Wactor and why?

Wactor, 37, was with a coworker when they encountered three men tampering with his car. Scarlett, Wactor’s mother, told TMZ that her son did not resist or confront the suspects, but they shot him nonetheless before fleeing the scene. The incident, described by police as an attempted catalytic converter theft, occurred around 3 AM PT. Paramedics rushed Wactor to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released a description of the suspects involved. Scarlett Wactor expressed her hope that the perpetrators would be apprehended quickly.

Scarlett Wactor described her son as a loving young man, stating that his death leaves a significant void in their family. He is survived by his mother and his younger brothers, Lance and Grant.
