Johnny Wactor, known for his role in “General Hospital,” was tragically killed in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning, according to TMZ.
Wactor began his acting career in 2007 on Lifetime’s “Army Wives,” taking on various roles. Over the next two decades, he built a steady career with appearances in popular shows like “Westworld,” “The OA,” “NCIS,” “Station 19,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Hollywood Girl.”
He is best remembered for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital,” where he portrayed the character from 2020 until 2022. On the show, Brando was married to Sasha Corbin, a character battling drug addiction.

Wactor, 37, was with a coworker when they encountered three men tampering with his car. Scarlett, Wactor’s mother, told TMZ that her son did not resist or confront the suspects, but they shot him nonetheless before fleeing the scene. The incident, described by police as an attempted catalytic converter theft, occurred around 3 AM PT. Paramedics rushed Wactor to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released a description of the suspects involved. Scarlett Wactor expressed her hope that the perpetrators would be apprehended quickly.
