General Hospital Comings & Goings: Esme Prince Leaving?
GH casting updates suggest Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) may exit the sudser soon. Her son, Ace Cassadine (Clay twins), was the only thing keeping her from turning dark again. But now that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) has taken off with Ace, she has nothing to lose.
She’s as dangerous as ever and on a mission to get her son back. She already knocked out her uncle, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), and landed him in General Hospital. And now, she’s got Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) cornered on a boat in Paris.
Indeed, it appears she’s using Trina to force Spencer to do what she wants. And most likely, that is to help her track down Nik and get her son. And with Nicholas Chavez leaving GH for a while, Spencer and Esme might both disappear soon.
GH Casting Changes: Spencer Cassadine on Hiatus
General Hospital updates confirm Spencer will be off the canvas for a few months. He’s working on the second season of the Netflix series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story. So, he’ll be taking a leave of absence from GH.
And his last airdate is Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He will be back eventually, but to work his absence into the storyline, it’s likely he will go looking for Nikolas and Ace. And Esme likely forces him into helping her by threatening Trina.
Spencer will do anything to protect Trina, even if that means taking off with Esme. So, that could mean they will both be off General Hospital for some time. Even if Esme does return before Spencer, it’s doubtful she’ll be able to avoid prison this time.
General Hospital Casting Updates: Nik & Ace Come Home?
If Esme disappears or gets locked up, Nikolas may feel it’s safe to return to Port Charles with baby Ace. This might be when it’s time for Spencer to come back. Or, he might come home as soon as he hears that Esme is off looking for him.
He may even leave Ace with his grandmother, Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), so he can find Esme and bring her to justice once and for all. No matter how it happens, it looks like Esme’s time is about to run out.
