Nik and Spencer have never really been on the same page on General Hospital when it comes to their relationship. Spencer has deep-rooted childhood abandonment wounds that Nik keeps triggering. Although, in the wake of his “death,” his son did show remorse over not being on good terms with him. So, there is a little window of hope. But can Nik really make good use of it?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that in the upcoming episodes, Spencer gets an unexpected visitor. Considering that Nik is back in Port Charles. Chances are quite high that it would be him. He has already been meeting up with Ava. In fact, he is already scheming with her to take Esme down for good. So, he may make a move to reel Spencer into his plan, too. Or at least make peace with his son. Which honest to Soap Gods, is so long due.
However, this father-son reunion is subject to how Spencer receives Nik’s return on General Hospital. Chances are that he may initially express shock and joy over seeing his father again. But once the fog settles, he’ll realize that, just like always, his father abandoned him. He was alive and yet stayed away while he mourned the loss. But then, it isn’t entirely Nik’s fault. He really was in a coma. So, telling Spencer the truth could buy him some wiggle room.
Although, General Hospital spoilers point to yet another feud between the two. So, it seems either Spencer is not in the mood for forgiveness or Nik, as always, does not tell the whole truth. Yet, there is a possibility that Trina may make him see reason later. She, too, has recently been reunited with her birth father. And it has gone really well for both of them. Thus, she might urge Spencer to be a little more forgiving with his dad.
Especially since Spencer has made mistakes of his own in the past on General Hospital. So, Nik too, deserves another chance. And, of course, there is the matter of Ryan and Esme’s manipulation, which Spencer, Ava, and Nik all fell prey to. So, if Spencer considers it all, then there is a possibility for him and Nik to renew their relationship. In fact, if that happens, we think they will make a pretty deadly duo! What do you think?
