Sonny Corinthos and Anna Devane are perhaps the most loved characters on General Hospital. While every fan has their favorite from the massive canvas of the ABC soap, these are unanimously adored by the majority of the fanbase. Moreover, much to viewer excitement, Anna and Sonny have actually been sharing the screen a lot off late.
While the two of them have quite a long-standing friendship on General Hospital, they never really had too many stories in common. But that changed with The Metro Court shootout a few months ago. Ever since then, the two had been spending a lot of time brainstorming together. And now, in the aftermath of Anna and Valentin’s fallout, she is heavily leaning on Sonny. Interestingly, even Val has been confiding in Sonny’s wife – Nina, a lot. They, too, share a deep history. But that’s a story for another time!
Currently, there is a lot of focus on Sonny and Anna on General Hospital. This has sparked a desire among many fans to see them paired up with each other. Considering that Val and Anna’s future together looks rather bleak, we wonder if fans might actually get their heart’s desire! Let’s see what Finola Hughes has to say about this possibility! “We are a soap opera, and drama does push the story along,” she recently told First For Women.
Thus pointing out that anything is possible on General Hospital. “It’s been a very intelligent storyline,” she gushed as she shared that she has been enjoying her scenes with co-star Maurice Benard. When poked about the possibil ity of a Sonny-Anna pairing, Finola announced that she is “down for that!” Anna is currently single on the ABC drama, thanks to Charlotte’s hatred towards her. And Sonny might see himself in a similar fate, too, thanks to Nina’s SEC mess.
Sooner or later, the secret will come out on General Hospital. And while we are not saying it will be the ultimate end for Nina and Sonny, it could at least be a pause. A long enough pause to give the makers spin out a Sonny-Anna romance. The two had great chemistry, no doubt! And honestly, we would love to see where it goes. What about you?
