General Hospital’s Next Generation Gets a Makeover — Plus, a Familiar Return

Viewers will be seeing a new face on General Hospital just as we get ready to head into a new month. The ABC soap has once again recast the role of one of its youngsters. As reported in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, look for Asher Antonyzyn to step into the character of Sam and Jason’s son, Danny. It looks as though this is the first role for the young actor, who will appear beginning the week of October 30.

This isn’t the first time Danny has been recast… The part has been played by various sets of twins and in later years, T.K. Weaver made the role his own until it was taken over by Porter Fasullo in 2019 followed by Zakary Risinger, who last appeared in December 2021.

Now that the former teen scene, which consisted of the likes of Spencer, Josslyn, Cameron and Trina, to name a few, has graduated high school and has been thrown into some pretty big “adult situations” as of late, the new teen scene is up and coming and Danny will likely play a big part in that.

And speaking of the teen scene… Lily Fisher will return as Maxie and Spinelli’s daughter Georgie. Though she last appeared in April, Eden Harker briefly stepped into the role and last aired in September.
