But it’s all a little too simple, isn’t it? Not to mention convenient. We can’t help but suspect that there is more to this story. And less to Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) paternity.

If there is one thing Salem watchers know, it’s that the first person indicted for murder is never the guilty party. This means the first guy pinpointed as the bastard destined to rule them all, isn’t it, either. Especially since, before Victor’s (John Aniston) codicil ended up in the Kiriakis family’s hands, it passed through Theresa’s (Emily O’Brien). And Theresa isn’t known for her honesty. Theresa had a lot of reasons for making Alex the missing heir. And equally good reasons for cheating the real one out of his legacy.
DAYS Fake Out
Of course, there is always the possibility that the whole thing is a fraud. Perhaps Theresa made up the entire long-lost son story and forged the entire letter based on what really was in Victor’s briefcase. That would be a twist. But it wouldn’t be the most fun twist.
DAYS Spoilers: Elementary, My Dear
The more fun, not to mention the more logical twist, would be for Victor to honestly have fathered an illegitimate son named Alexander. Sure, Alex is a nickname for Alexander. But so is Xander. And Theresa has an excellent reason to hate Xander (Paul Telfer).
The last thing she would want is for him to come into a fortune. Meanwhile, Theresa has…something going on with Alex. It would be fun to have…something going on with a guy who is newly in charge of Titan. Now all we need is for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to put the pieces together like fans always have.
