Savannah Chrisley and Brother Grayson Acknowledge ‘Weird’ Shift in Their Bond After Becoming His Legal Guardian

“You have to have some discipline, like I can’t be the cool fun sister. I really get the s— end of the deal over here,” Savannah confessed to Grayson

Now that Savannah Chrisley is the legal guardian of her brother Grayson Chrisley, their sibling dynamic has certainly changed.

On the April 30 episode of her Unlocked podcast, the 26-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alum, 26, acknowledged that their new relationship “has got to be weird” for Grayson, 17, and 11-year-old Chloe (the biological daughter of Kyle Chrisley).

Since their parents Todd and Julie Chrisley reported to prison in January 2023, Savannah has been granted full custody of her younger siblings and they have remained under her care.

“No, it is because I still look at you as my sister,” Grayson admitted. “And then you tell me something and I’m like, ‘Who is she to tell me to do that?’ And then I remember you’re technically like my parent.”

Savannah noted that she and her siblings have “always been close,” but confessed that seeing her step into a new role within their family life “has to be weird for y’all.”

“Our relationship has changed. You’ve turned into more of the parent,” Grayson continued, before referencing their ongoing disagreements about him pursuing college. “Like there’s certain things that I would do, for example, if you weren’t my parent, you would be like, ‘Go’. Considering the fact that you are my parent, you have a different outlook on it.”

Savannah said that she’s been forced to reframe her opinions on certain matters because “you have to have some discipline, like I can’t be the cool fun sister.”

“I really get the s— end of the deal over here because I have to do the bad guy while everyone else gets to be the fun one,” she added.

Despite the awkwardness surrounding Savannah’s new role, Grayson commended his other sister’s efforts while their parents carry out their sentences on a previous episode of Unlocked.

“There’s no good way around both of your parents being in prison,” he said. “That’s one thing that there’s no good solution to … until they get out. There’s no way around it.”

Savannah continued, “But also too, I think one thing that I appreciate from you and love you so much for is you said, ‘Hey, you’re doing a really good job. I know it may feel like you’re not, but you’re doing a good job.'”

“Yeah, because you’re a kid raising two kids,” Grayson responded, adding, “It pisses me off, is things you have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Everybody else thinks that you’re just sitting around, going out to nice dinners and going on vacation all the time.”
