Garrison, the son of Kody and Janelle Brown, passed away on Tuesday at age 25. Sadly, the scene indicates that he took his own life.
Garrison Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives has tragically passed away.
His parents Kody and Janelle Brown confirmed the news on Tuesday.
The couple wrote in a joint statement via Instagram that they “are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” they continued. “Our loss will leave such a big hole in our lives, that it takes our breath away.”
The post concluded, “We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
According to TMZ, Garrison passed away in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The 25-year-old had his own home there.
Flagstaff Police Department responded to the residence on Tuesday after reports of someone passing away.
The outlet reports that his brother Gabriel arrived at the house and found his body.
He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The police do not suspect foul play.
The investigation into the death is ongoing.
Janelle and Kody have five other children together, Garrison’s siblings: Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Gabriel, and Savanah.
When the Brown family moved to Las Vegas, Garrison showed an interest in the military and ended up enlisting in the National Guard.
He stopped living with his family at some point during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Garrison shared his cats on social media and had just recently adopted a new one from the shelter. He introduced her on Instagram as Ms Buttons.
TLC issued a statement to People.
“We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown,” they shared. “We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
In one episode of Sister Wives, Janelle discussed the issues between her ex and his sons, admitting that she has “I have worried about my boys’ mental health.”
She expressed that Garrison “just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be.”
Kody also commented on the state of his relationship with them.
“I think and hope that in time we’ll just get over this and that we’ll be safe being back around each other,” he stated. “Right now, there’s not really an open door with Gabe and Garrison. They’re they’re not willing to engage me.”
Janelle ended her spiritual marriage to Kody in 2022. They had been together since 1993.
